PhRMA's Response to COVID-19
The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) conducted a meeting in Washington, DC recently and according to Stephen Ubl, the President & CEO of PhRMA, the meeting’s purpose was “to discuss our industry’s response to fighting COVID-19.”
The main takeaway for me was that any potential vaccine for the prevention of the Coronavirus was more than a year away from being developed. And this is according to vaccine expert Julie Louise Gerberding, M.D., M.P.H., Executive Vice President and Chief Patient Officer at Merck & Co., Inc.
PhRMA apparently represents the country’s leading innovative biopharmaceutical research companies, which are devoted to discovering and developing medicines that enable patients to live longer, healthier, and more productive lives.
Anyway, I watched this PhRMA presentation in amazement at how closely these science people are sitting next to each other. But the most captivating part of the video was watching the Chief Scientific Officer at Johnson & Johnson, spend half his free time at the table exploring his face…It was absolutely aesthetic.
Despite Johnson & Johnson’s top science guy going for the platinum in Face Touching Simulator 2, the video is informative, so check it out.
