Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announced at BlizzCon 2019 that Overwatch 2 is in development and it will have a new coop mode.
I purchased Overwatch 1, but played very little of it because I played so much Team Fortress 1.5 and 2 that Overwatch did not seem different enough.
Anyway, if I want to play Overwatch 2 I can, according to the playoverwatch.com. Current Overwatch players will be able to play with Overwatch 2 players in PvP multiplayer and they’ll also be able to play Overwatch 2 heroes and maps.
So, I am assuming if I want Overwatch 2 coop campaign (and I do), then I will have to buy Overwatch 2. But everything else in Overwatch 2 is accessible because I own Overwatch 1?
Anyway, per playoverwatch.com, if I had any accomplishments or loot collections they will be carried forward from Overwatch 1 to Overwatch 2.
That means current Overwatch players will keep their skins, player icons, sprays, emotes etc.
I am very interested in the coop campaign, so count me in for Overwatch 2.
