World War Z is now $34.99 on Epic Games Store.
The CEO of Saber Interactive mentions the revenue disparity between Epic Games Store’s 88 percent and Steam’s 70 percent, as the deciding factor in the price reduction.
Since Valve/Steam is a private company, I assumed they would be more agreeable to changing the revenue split, since they do not have to deal with the one goal of a publicly listed company. Which is, do not leave a cent on the table.
Anyway, I have noticed Steam has stepped up their email marketing, but nothing more substantial yet.
Next up for the Epic Games Store, start releasing game keys on re-sellers like Greenmangaming and Fanatical etc.
