Far Cry New Dawn launches on February 15, and I am also hosting a giveaway here.

Anyway, I am already strategizing about which Gun for Hire will be my favorite or most useful in Far Cry New Dawn.

Timber the dog, seems like a lock to be the most useful and/or most used Gun for Hire in the game. His ability to tag enemies, crafting materials and intercept animal attacks are all super useful. Plus, he can fetch weapons.

So, I am probably going to use him the most on missions to tag enemies.

Maybe later on in game, when I have a lot of resources, I may switch to Horatio, the Boar, just to cause havoc.

After those two, I am not sure which Gun for Hire will be my next selection. I guess it will be mission specific. But I do not think I will use the others a lot.

Pastor Jerome throws a Molotov cocktail and uses incendiary ammo, so it could be fun to see the fire effect in-game. Hopefully, I can have him sent a whole area or building on fire. 🙂

Gina is a Heavy Gunner with unlimited, explosive ammo.

Nana, the Sniper, seems very useful as well, based on her skill card.

Hurk and Carmina are RPG and Assault, respectively. I am not sure if I will use them at all. I guess if I have vehicular trouble, I can get Hurk to take them out.

And lastly, the hunter, The Judge. Stealth hunting? Ok, sign me up.

So, long story short, it’s the animals (Timber and Horatio), by a mile. Their skill sets seem to be the most useful, for how I see myself playing Far Cry New Dawn.
